My cat, Cheechy, loves the Fauna Sauna. She is 17 years old. On Jan 1st she jumped off the sofa and fractured her pelvis. After 2 weeks of careful watch, and 3 sets of kitty stairs, we came across the Fauna Sauna. Now she is like a new cat, moves around easily and even tries to jump up on the furniture. She loves to lie under the infrared rays. We leave it on all day and sometimes during the night. Thank you for the Fauna Sauna."

How the Fauna Sauna Works

Fauna Sauna uses far infrared heat, which has been used for years to heal people. Now, for the first-time, its benefits can be enjoyed by our animal companions.

Far Infrared heat, also known as radiant heat, warms objects not air, which is why cats and dogs love it. Fauna Sauna’s unique design allows your furry friend to receive the deep penetrating, healing warmth without becoming overheated. Comfortable, room temperature air is circulating around them at all times so they can breathe easily and relax.

As your best friend enjoys the soothing warmth from Fauna Sauna, the naturally healing Infrared energy is penetrating up to 2 inches into their skin, tissue and joints, stimulating circulation and increasing metabolic activity. Swelling and inflammation are reduced, and subsequently pain is relieved. Healing is speeded as cells are stimulated to regenerate more quickly. Your dog or cat is soothed as their muscles relax and their body is warmed.

There is no need to “train” your pets to use Fauna Sauna. Just turn it on in a room they frequent and your dog or cat will be drawn to it, just as they are to the sunshine coming through the window.

Fauna Sauna can also be set up near an animal’s bed or near one of their favorite sleeping places. There is no need to worry about your pet overheating – they will know when they have had enough and get up and move. (For animals with severely limited mobility, please see Precautions).

What is Infrared?

Far Infrared Radiant Heat is the oldest and most natural type of heat known. It’s the life-giving warmth of the sun, without the damaging ultra violet rays (the ones that burn). It’s also the same kind of heat that our own bodies and all warm-blooded animals produce.

The sun gives off many different kinds of energy besides just light. All of the sun’s many frequencies, both visible and invisible, are called the electromagnetic spectrum. While the sun’s visible light, which is known as ultraviolet, is what we see everyday, it is the sun’s heat, which is called Infrared, or radiant heat, that is the most life giving part of the spectrum.

Far infrared heat is required by all living things on earth and is therefore completely safe for your pets.

Fauna Sauna produces far infrared rays in the 8 to 9 1/2 microns range, the optimal range for healing and cell regeneration. In this range, water molecules in the body resonate or vibrate, resulting in the release of toxins and increased circulation and metabolic activity.

History of Far Infrared Use

Since before the days of Hippocrates right through to today the therapeutic effects of radiant heat have been relied on to heal people and animals alike. Radiant heat has been used in modern medicine for nearly 100 years: in incubators, physical therapy offices, by massage therapists, and many other uses. Horse owners and enthusiast have already discovered the many benefits of Far InfraRed Radiant Heat therapy, using Infrared leg wraps and blankets.

Until recently, Far Infrared Radiant Heat therapy was only available in hospitals, clinics and veterinary hospitals. But now, with Fauna Sauna, your best friend can enjoy the benefits of far infrared Radiant Heat in the comfort of your home.

Years of research and testing have gone into this advanced yet convenient device. You will soon wonder how you and your beloved pet ever got along without one!
